Just ran into something strange with my Novell 10 Os2 install. Things had
been going fairly well until I came back after a weekend and tried to create
a printer with iManager. I was able to upload the drivers to the printer
driver store, but when I tried to create the printer I was told I had
insufficient rights to create the printer.
What?? - I was in as admin with unrestricted access and I made printers last
week.
So a little cussing and checking rights and it all looks good. I was able
to create the printer on another server in my tree - and that confused me a
bit more.
A bit of Googling and I found a thread that said to reboot the server.
Rebooted and all is well.
Hmm . . . wonder if the server is going to make a habit of this. The thing
I liked about Novell servers was that you NEVER had to reset them Heck I
had them run for YEARS between resets. Hope they patch this.
