Aaron, I had the exact same issue (asking for info and I had missed the imaging
prompt as well) when I tried for the 1st time on Thursday. Figured I hosed it
and haven't messed w/ it since.

Curtis, I would like to see the sysprep file if you don't mind. I am using XP
SP3 as well.

When you run setupmgr.exe it should create an i386 directory in c:\sysprep and
also a sysprep.inf file. I've used this for years and I've always ran
setupmgr.exe then ran sysprep.exe. When sysprep opens I check "use mini-setup"
and then click reseal. I can paste my sysprep.inf if you'd like.

yes, XP sp3.
yes, ran from c:\sysprep

do i have to run sysprep with certain options pointing to the sysprep.ini file
or does it just find it? also the sysprep gui had options for factory or
imaging. i did the reimage option.

If we're talking about a sysprep.ini file, than that is the answer file.
Sounds like we're talking about XP right? Did you run setupmgr and sysprep
from c:\sysprep?

If you create c:\sysprep and put the deploy.cab files in there, when the
machine is finished it will automatically delete that folder to clean up after
itself.
Does that help?

You need an answer file too I think.

Trying to use sysprep on image for teh first time. I ran setup and put in my
options like accept license, key, etc. and it created a sysprep.ini file.
then I sealed the install and made and image. but when I reboot I get a
windows setup and it asks me for license and then the key. did I do something
wrone? How do I get around this? Thanks.
