you can set the os level in 7.4 by
# config setprop smb OsLevel 30
#expand-template /etc/samba/smb.conf
#/etc/init.d/smb reload
#/etc/init.d/smb restart

Does anyone have the config for SME 7.4

 To either

LOWER the SAMBA OS Level or turn off samba?

Reading contrib.org I found that the default OS Level within the SME Samba
configuration is 35. The default OS Level for a Windows 2003 server is 32. The
higher number wins. My SME server is winning the Master Browser election. It
has recently started causing me problems.

I known the OS Level is set in smb.conf but I never mastered creating
template for the config files. I just need to make sure it is less than 32.

Thanks,

Terry
