ZoneAlarm is still around and seems to be pretty decent, seem to use less
resources than a few versions ago.  I use it on the office computers and
only allow trusted access to/from the domain/file server, AV-server, and
backup server.  I tunnel through the domain server for remote access.

ZA allows you to identify trusted host by hostname or ip.  If a machine is
trusted I use VNC to get access to the machine.  I haven't tried RDC since
we only have a handful of XP machines at this point.  It is much easier to
set up than the built in MS firewall.
