I don't have a problem with unsolicited calls per se. Nor do I consider them a faux pas for vendors. Note I actually said "unwanted solicitations" which is a different elephant altogether.
I had a vendor begin calling me last winter wanting to have a "conference call" with my superintendent so the vendor could pitch his wares. I was not interested (and had no budget for it anyway) and said so quite clearly. I received the same call a month later from the same person. And then again two months after that. In June, he began calling me two or three times a week. I finally had to write to the company and demand that they put a stop to this, which they did immediately. Note... this was *not* a vendor from the tech geeks list (so far as I know). ------------------- On Fri, Aug 27, 2010 at 8:20 AM, McKay, Curtis <[email protected]> wrote: > I don't think an unsolicited call makes somebody a bad vendor.
