Indeed - I had a teacher mention in passing this morning that he does not have a pencil sharpener in his room and has to walk over to the library to sharpen things - about two minutes later he had one...(want the kicker: it was our Art teacher and I have no idea how long he has been going to the lib to sharpen his pencils...)
While that's only because I happened to have one sitting in my work room that I had already taken off the wall because /I/ didn't need it - it does continue the myth that we can fix /anything/ - and do so quickly. --Michael T.
