It is disabled for everyone here for just that reason. If teachers were 
communicating through it wouldn't it need to be archived for legal purposes?

I think we have seen many great uses for the feature over the past few weeks, 
but now that I realize that I am not scanning or archiving it, I fear it has to 
go - in addition to the good use, there is bullying etc. happening too.
Anyone out there have chat enabled? thoughts generally before I do pull the 
plug?
