I've been chasing down a LOT of these kinds of issues in the last few weeks. Eventually, we disabled "safe search" in the Internet Usage Rules for our Middle School and High School student and teacher populations because it was getting to the point where they couldn't do any searching on the grey-area subjects without having their search results blocked for similar reasons.
