I would investigate whether your connection from PC/DocCam go to the wall at roughly the same point as your power outlet. Maybe that sounds like a simple thing, but it was overlooked in a couple of our installations so that there are power cords going one way to the power outlet and data/audio/video cords going another way to the wallplate leading to the ceiling projector.
Will the computer be in close proximity to the doccam? We have the cables from the doccam (which also serves as a "switch" for all of our A/V components) going to the wall through a nylon material mesh "snake". It keeps things organized/untangled but it loves to gather dust. As for going up the wall . . . just some raceway . . . but most of that in our installations is hidden in a closet or behind a wall.
