Yep, I don't know how well it works in practice.

That's interesting - most of the time when I call they don't seem to know 
anything about it yet.  They must wait to send until they establish the 
affected area (that could be longer than UPS batteries can last).  Having a 
text when power comes back on could be very useful, though, since that is when 
most of us would get very busy bringing stuff back on-line.
