We just use the temp monitoring on our UPS and the APC PowerChute software to
send alerts.

For general environmental monitoring (temp, humidity, alarms, etc) the
Sensaphone line of products is very good and widely used. They are not
inexpensive but they are reliable and offer quite a bit of flexibility.

Subject: [tech-geeks] network heat monitor

If I look for data center thermal alert products on google I get way too many
choices.

For simple basic heat monitoring to start off with, anybody have a low cost
product they recommend?
