Yes, I eventually bought the memory pack (college student budget!).  I actually 
submitted an article to one of those magazines.

You didn't opt for the 16K memory pack?   It was only $19.95.....

Remember the magazines with the BASIC codes and you had to type them in 
with that awful keyboard?  And I especially liked the mags out of 
England that would have the little 45 RPM "records" with the code on 
them and you connected them to the input RCA port.
