I like the one about 9.
Multiply any number by nine. Then successively add all the digits of
each number:
2 * 9 = 18 -> 1+8 = 9
598 * 9 = 5382 -> 5+3+8+2 = 18 -> 1+8 = 9
250875 * 9 = 2257875 -> 2+2+5+7+8+7+5 = 36 -> 3+6 = 9
Obviously, it doesn't work with 0, but it works with every other
number so far as I know.
