there is no clear definition of which browser is the
best, it depends on what you use it for and what kind
of interface u are used to.

here is a comparision of web browser standards
supported by 3 popular browsers:
http://nanobox.chipx86.com/browser_support.php#css

I have used all three of those browsers, the table is
slightly outdated as in there are new versions of
firefox 1.1 and Opera 9.0 out now.

i personally prefer Opera to any other browser for
various reasons, foremost among them being Mouse
Gestures and Session save, besides Opera invented
Tabbed Browsing.

However recently i switched to firefox because google
has something against Opera, a lot of their services
including Gmail, Maps and Web Accelerator do not work
on Opera (gmail works fine on Opera 9)

I wouldnt even consider IE a proper browser, with so
many security holes, it is suicidal to want to use it.
I stopped using my Online Banking because they only
support IE.

i have never worked on a Mac and consequently never
used Safari, can somebody throw some light on safari?

Opera also has lite versions for use on PDA s and
mobile devices and comes with an integrated mail
client, rss feed reader and a calendar.

Right now I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time. I think I've
forgotten this before.
