OK, I don't know if this is the time or place to say this but I'm
working on something similar. It doesn't use Freenet, but it could -
for transferral of data blocks / programs. The project's name is
Axle - it's on sourceforge but it's currently at the "well there is
some code but it does nothing" stage. Really, nothing. If anyone's
interested I might have set up a mailing list...
The goal is to create a network, like distributed.net for distributed
processing (but could also be used on clusters such as beowulf or cow).
Security, sandboxing is an issue of course and we could do with
some experts :)
