I don't know what percentage of computer users have BitTorrent, but  
many don't.

Its not about being in competition with Freenet, its about the  
convenience of allowing people to obtain Freenet.  We need to ensure  
that there are as few obstacles in the way as possible.  BitTorrent  
would be an unnecessary obstacle to adoption.

The vast majority of other free software projects manage to allow  
people to do direct downloads of their software from a websites,  
which is far more convenient than downloading from BitTorrent, there  
is no good reason why we can't either.
