I agree - incentives to contribute bandwidth and storage are a good 
idea, but they *must* be based on verifiable evidence, otherwise you 
just create an incentive to lie.

Replies to CHK requests can be verified by the requester and by 
intermediate nodes, but I can't see a way to verify replies to insert 
requests - a selfish node could just drop the request and forge a 
response a couple of seconds later to make it look like the request 
succeeded. It might be dangerous to create an incentive mechanism based 
purely on CHK requests, because that would give selfish nodes an 
incentive to devote all their bandwidth to CHK requests at the expense 
of unverifiable inserts.
