No. Two recent examples: -Software vendor only support their software running on a specific version of RedHat, you cannot PXE that version, because the server is too recent, and drivers for the disk and network cards aren't in that version of the OS. We tried hard, couldn't do it, both RedHat and the server vendor refused to even talked to us about it, their specs specifically says they don't support pxe install until a further version of RHEL. -a server in a co-location started to fail, weird symptoms, the vendors wanted us to narrow down which part it could be and asked me to boot on their special diag DVD.
