I bought one of these bad boys in one of my previous jobs:

http://www.multitech.com/en_US/PRODUCTS/Families/MultiModemiSMS/

Then wrote some code to wrap around the (pretty horrible) HTTP API:

https://github.com/cparedes/isms_http

(used this for a while with an Opsview installation. It was okay.)

This bought us filtering by a single phone number in our phones, getting
more reliable OOB alerts, etc.
