I have hypermobility (probably Ehler-Danlos) and I'm prone to RSI. QWERTY
was designed to slow people down and prevent typewriter heads from jamming;
it's really a crappy layout for us to have continued with into the age of
computers. Dvorak is a lot more ergonomic.
