In order to get out of the business of running our own software, the
LOPSA Tech Team will be migrating the LOPSA mailing lists off of our
hosted server and into Google Groups over the Christmas holiday weekend.
Initially only the list membership will be migrated, but over the
following week or two we will be transferring all of the list archives
as well.
This should be a transparent change, we will be preserving all list
membership and settings that are supported in Google Groups; including
any subject header tagging that is currently in place.
However, we will only be migrating active mailing lists. We have quite a
few lists that have not been used in over a year or more, these will be
retired and their archives taken off-line.
If you have any comments on this change, please feel free to comment to
me directly or to tech-t...@lopsa.org. This is going to all of the lists
that will be affected by the change, and since I don't subscribe to all
of those lists I may not see replies sent to the lists.
