Hello, We are thinking about purchasing a bunch of fancy PDUs as part of a migration to all 208v power at our data center. In addition to monitoring how much power the entire PDU is using, we are also interested in watching per-outlet power usage.
The theory is that we will have Cacti graph the power usage of each outlet over time. Using this data, we can maximize the usage of each circuit without overloading it and spot spikes/trends before they become major issues. So far, the only PDU we have found that has this feature is the Avocent PM3000 (http://www.avocent.com/PM2000_PM3000.aspx). Does anyone have any comments on the PM3000, or know of any other PDUs on the market with the per-outlet power monitoring feature?
