Are you talking about the PERC controller? Just today, I replaced dell 750G drives with generic (Seagate) 1.5T drives on a PE 2950. Had no problems. Maybe you're talking about some model(s) of server or PERC newer than that? This will directly affect my life, and I didn't hear anything of the sort until now. Any references or info about it?
