Hi Ski,

We had a similar issue, but when emailing a scanned document. If your
mailbox is located on a slow exchange server, then sending of the
document would take a long time. If your mailbox was on a fast one, it
would take a few seconds. Hard to track down when sending to multiple
recipients, but it was usually a slow exchange server. I would check
exchange and authentication servers. I believe you need to authenticate
to use a CIFS share as well.

Greg.

Subject: [lopsa-tech] Anyone use a Ricoh MFP copier/scanner/do it all
machine

Hi,

My company just purchased several of these devices. They have the
ability to scan documents to a CIFs share. The problem is that we do a
scan and the system seems to lock up for 3 -4 minutes before you can
scan in a second one and then it is another 4 - 5 minutes before the
document shows up on the share. I have done a tcpdump and can see that
nothing happens for large amounts of time, but have no idea why. Just
wondering if someone else has run into problems like this.

cheers,

ski
