I'm not super-familiar with NetApp; how do you serve the HFS+ storage? Does the NetApp box serve AFP directly, or do you connect it to an OS X server head end that reshares the storage? If the latter, how do you ensure a consistent filesystem when you take the snapshots? OS X regrettably doesn't include any kind of file system "freeze", so we've been struggling with this...
