Yes. The Samba "VFS" plugin for auditing generated quite effective records,
which I was then able to easily enough read and report on using a fairly
trivial Perl script.
Which probably gives you some idea of the level of complexity of my reporting
needs; if yours are greater, this may be less desirable. However, the Samba
facility was very effective for generating the audit records themselves.
