Much more ACPI suspend work has happened since I asked for laptop testing (3 days ago).
If any of you tested and feel like re-testing, you will find many improvements. Your tests will help us spot the problems which remain. Lid wakeups now work. Lid suspend can be controlled via machdep.lidsuspend. The soft power off button problem has been found and solved. I think all wired and wireless network devices now work. We will continue to have problems with: - ATI video. For now we are re-posting all of them since we do not have a reliable way of getting them back. Many manufacturers build broken machines. - Nvidia video. I think we don't stand a chance of ever doing this. Don't buy Nvidia. Intel video is much better. There are some outstanding issues, but it is all getting better very quickly. So if anyone wants to resubmit, please do! - To [email protected].
