A small pile of Fujitsu Siemens Scenic machines landed in my lap, all of
them apparently with onboard Broadcom gigabit ethernet that are
recognized as

bge0 at pci1 dev 0 function 0 "Broadcom BCM5751" rev 0x01, BCM5750 A1 (0x4001):
apic 2 int 16, address 00:30:05:84:9a:5d
brgphy0 at bge0 phy 1: BCM5750 10/100/1000baseT PHY, rev. 0

However, they fail to configure properly. As in dhclient bge0 never
completes, while the corresponing activity lights on the switch flash in
a pattern not obviously related to expected activity. I have 3 of
these, tried them all, with different cables and put sk or xl cards in
to test too.

The funny thing is, a casual glance at recent commits don't really turn
up anything relevant. But then again, I haven't tried to backtrack to
earlier releases yet.

Any of this sound familiar?
