Did you have false activations without touching the tablet? The pressure sensor is used because the button activation is flaky. See comment in the code. To verify this, I've taken out the pressure code and checked when button 0 usually activates. This correlates with pressure 1. I'm using xournal. I tried gimp as well. Works very well for me with the patched setting. I can, however, understand that when you're used to having to push hard, a lighter setting might feel off.
