Ok I would go for Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus and Malwarebytes Antimalware as your second line of defense. These are both free and fully accessible applications. I can't see any other justification apart from that. If you want to renew your Eset license, that's fine. But I use this combination and they work great. In fact, I have paid for Malwarebytes Antimalware Pro simply because of the realtime protection and scheduler feature. But this one is up to you. The free version provides on demand scanning and updating. Hope this helps.

Hello everybody

We are now in the process of setting up a couple of machines running Windows.
What do people recommend for system security and antivirus? We've had an Eset
Smart Security licence for the last 4 years but is expires later this month and
we are trying to decide whether to renew it or go for another solution.

Recommendations, suggestions, explanations, justifications, thoughts and
opinions welcome. Thank you.
