Hello Dane & all In our case, it's unlikely that we're going to be hit that severely. Although our email servers are not Windows, we still scan for viruses and block anything which is detected. And I'm bound to say that since we put this mechanism on line, we haven't had a single report of a virus from any of our clients. We, Gordon and I, see the blocked message logs. We send the recipient a notice automatically telling them that we've blocked a virus that was sent to them. All the same, we don't encourage people to rely on that; we are not arrogant enough to assume that just because we do scans. nothing can get through. We try our very best, but we're only human after all. :)
But anyway, I'm going to install the software on our newly recovered NetBook in a minute. I will post another message to the group shortly about that actually because it highlights another excellent Windows product. Yes, I like the idea of a lifetime's subscription which is why I'll be sticking with Vipre for some time, added to that is the willingness of the author to fix problems, make the software accessibile, the excellent partner offers that come up from time-to-time, the informative security newsletters and so on, makes the customers feel part of the product. Not that you'll need it but the Vipre tech support also offers in depth solutions if your system is severely hampered by a virus attack and you can't yourself get around the problem and as you're now a "Vipre User", you'll be notified of this extra service. ======================================= The Techno-Chat E-Mail forum is guaranteed malware, spyware, Trojan, virus and worm-free To modify your subscription options, please visit for forum's dedicated web pages located at http://mail.tft-bbs.co.uk/mailman/listinfo/techno-chat You can find an archive of all messages posted to the Techno-Chat group at either of the following websites: http://mail.tft-bbs.co.uk/pipermail/techno-chat/index.html Or: <http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]> you may also subscribe to this list via RSS.
