started using it when they were up to about version 6 and since those days it's improved
out of site. In fact, VMWare have licensed the Horizon Data System technologies and
included it with their products. Fusion's "Snap Shot" facility used Rollback RX
without the front-end. VMWAre Workstation also uses it I believe and VMWare Collaboration
Server uses it. So clearly it must do something that system restore does not do.
If you buy if it's only about 30 quid if I remember rightly. That 30 quid has
proven to be money excellently spent.
