Mac has no problem sharing data with the mac, and vice versa. On
windows, you need to specifically share the folders in question where
you want to put things you want to share, (right clicking on the file
folder in windows explorer allows you to set the sharing status) and
on mac, as long as you connect to the mac using samba, you can share
anything you like.
No experience with android or iphone/ipod sharing directly, if I want
something on my ipod, I just move it to a web directory on the mac,
and download it directly on the ipod.
Don't have an android device though, so can't address that question.
