Hello, I have just acquired a TPLink WR 1043 ND router. Amongst its many features is support to attach a USB flash drive and then have all the computers in my wireless network access files on this USB memory stick. My wireless network contains an Apple iMac and a Windows XP computer and I would like both of these to access the files on the USB memory stick.
Do any of you have experience of doing this on any router which attaches a USB drive? the TPLink instructions are written for Windows rather than Mac and tell me to start my browser and enter \\192.168.1.1 to view the files on the memory stick but when I do that on Safari I get an error message saying that Safari cannot find the server \\192.168.1.1. If I use Safari to go to 192.168.1.1 I can open the TPLink admin pages and `therein can see that the USB memory stick is recognised with the correct amount of used space and free space. I would appreciate any tips on this. Many thanks....
