yup that us, end of an era.  Actually speaking of Tyne Tees, I miss their logo. 
 I always thought it looked like a old fashioned gas kettle :)

Does not seem like 5 minutes since they introduced NICAM Stereo!

I rushed out on the day of go live and bought a £500 Sharp VHS recorder so I 
could listen to the then banned Madonna video which was being show cased on 
'The Word' on channel 4 that night in glorious stereo!  A TV milestone for me 
before HD.
