I always wondered why nobody ever built a box that could read these
closed caption streams. I realize that to some, this would seem
silly, if you can hear the dialog, then why use the cc being read via
computer? Well, I'm thinking more in the vain of foreign language
broadcasts that have the native language being streamed as a cc at
the bottom of the screen. It always seemed to me that it would be a
trivial thing to do, but yet, it was never done. Curious how
difficult something like this would be for someone to do on their
own, it sounds like an interesting project.
