Hi David

This is truly amazing because it flies in the face of what they were saying on
their website. All I can say if that is really the case is that the
developers, the application or both have changed radically and, if it's true
that WebDAV isn't supported, then the app is a bit pointless and I regret
recommending it. I'm going to try it shortly because I just can't believe that
they would remove the central element of the application like that.

I have had problems with expandrive on the Mac as well as Windows and so

They emailed back to say that WebDAV is not supported by expandrive on any
OS platform, including the Mac.

I wonder if it is possible to find older versions of the program which
Gordon reports apparently supported WebDAV. It is worth bearing in mind also
that if you have an older version of the product which supports WebDAV it
is probably not a good idea to upgrade.

Hello David

This is new then, because it certainly used to be. That was the whole point
of the exercise. Without WebDAV I'm afraid the only way you could access
our server would be through ftp, secure or in the clear. It amounts to the
same thing, only slower. But currently we don't support SSH access.

Dear Gordon
I emailed the ExpanDrive support and they were pretty definite that WebDAV
is not available in windows versions of their software. See below.

Hello David

No, that's not correct at all. WebDAV is available on the Windows version,
as are FTP and SFTP.

Thanks

I can see on the Mac version of this program how it is possible to set
connection to WebDAV but as far as I can tell only SSH is possible on the
Windows version. As you will see from the virtual window I sent in there
appears no obvious option to change from the default SSH that I can pick up
with a screen reader at least.

I will go and Google and see if there is a solution to this.

Hello David

The reason this happened is because you have the protocol set to SSH. Please
ensure it is set to WebDAV, and port 443.
