Exactly. You have to be very careful when selecting the correct bootcamp partition. One misfire and your mac could turn into a pc without mac capabilities.

There are a lot of variables which could wreck your attempt to install Windows

same at all.

Hello all.
I am looking into the possibility of having a dual boot system on my Macbook Pro running
Mountain Lion. This is done via Bootcamp. I was able to get Bootcamp assistant to
download the Windows support software and create the bootcamp partition, no problem. Then
I got so far with the Windows installation, but chickend out as I am not sure if the
bootcamp partition is selected in the "where do you want to install Windows?"
screen. I am also not sure of the accelerator keys, alt plus whatever, to click the drive
options (advanced), then format, then ok, then next.
Does anybody have any ideas?
If not, I might just play safe and consider VMware Fusion. I don't have sighted
assistance all the time so like to have a go at things myself. So want as much
independence as possible as I'm sure you can appreciate.
Thank you in advance for any ideas.
