Hi Chris, Gordon here this time. :)

Yes, we are registered NiceCast users and have been so for quite a long time.
But although we do now have it set up as a Shoutcast server for our new radio
project, we're having to make some decisions regarding the encoder we use.
NiceCast won't be used to actually hijack the audio from anywhere, as the
machine it is on is a dedicated server machine. But here's the issue we are
facing. Lynne bought me a Station Playlist Creator Pro and Studio Pro bundle
yesterday. Naturally you have a limit of one station per license. To be
honest I don't think it's going to cause too many problems if I decide to use
it on my hospital radio broadcasting project as well. I mean, come on,, we're
not talking about commercial broadcasting here, just something to help brighten
up the day for people who are ill or injured. Can that really be classed as
harmful? They sell a stand-alone streaming app if you need to use Studio with
a broadcast console. But I'm actually looking for somebody w
ho has a little experience with Studio so that I can get a little information.
I'm going to break with tradition and read through the documentation. But I
really want to be able to switch between liv 24/7 automation mode on one PC and
live broadcasting on another. I also want to be able to live automate on our
main PC as well. Lynne opted for the Pro bundle because of the need for two
configurations and also to accommodate the additional cart machine support. I
will hopefully be able to assign the jingles, trails and other spots for the
hospital radio station I am working for, (whose name just happens to be "Radio
Stitch", strange name, I agree), and the other project whose name is going to
be "Sparkle Radio". When I get the website for Sparkle up and running, we'll
be looking for broadcasters who want to have a little fun and do a show at the
same time. No need to be professional broadcasters, all you need is a desire
to share your music and your thoughts with others
. But anyway, I digress. If there's anybody on list who happens to have
experience with Station Playlist Creator (Pro or Standard) and/or Studio (Pro
or Standard), I would be interested in a chat off list so as not to clutter up
the inboxes of those who have no interest.

Hello Lynn
Have you or Gordon tried Nicecast?
I guess I'm missing something as I do not do any radio broadcasting but I know
with that you can broadcast a radio station with either a local server or with
an online service like Shoutcast.
