It very much depends what you wish to do and achieve with any such system. Money, of course, is a factor. I can only write about the system I have which is a Davis Vantage pro plus. It enables me to obtain accurate recordings, keep the information on my local PC, You can obtain software to work both on Mac and PC. The information can be streamed wirelessly from the weatherstation to you computer.
