Hello Roger This is useful info. Ideally we would like a wireless system so that we don't have to start running cables from a box on the wall to the station. So could you possibly tell me how they work or, maybe as well as, point me to a website. All we really want is local weather information such as temperature, air pressure, that sort of thing. If it's possible to have it get information from one of the weather satellites that would be good; and of course, in order for Gordon to use it it must be possible to generate things like a forecast from the satellites in textual format. it might also be nice if it were possible to obtain weather information from other world and national locations.
Thank you in advance. It very much depends what you wish to do and achieve with any such system. Money, of course, is a factor. I can only write about the system I have which is a Davis Vantage pro plus. It enables me to obtain accurate recordings, keep the information on my local PC, You can obtain software to work both on Mac and PC. The information can be streamed wirelessly from the weatherstation to you computer. As I'm unsure exactly what you might like to know, let me know and I will try and answer your questions or point you in the right direction.
