Gordon, you forgot about Orca, for Linux, which has built in remote access, and also System Access on the Windows side, which offers remote access, but then, frankly in my opinion, and probably not that of everyone, I'd not use S A to go nor Mobile network if you paid me to do so!

We'll just say without giving names, one of their staff members told me something, I'm not gonna say who, nor what, but we'll just say, they're playing with fire on a few legality terms that if caught, it would be a real bad day for them! I won't go into the specifics, as I swore I'd not say, and I'm a man of my word, but, I did find what I was told quite disturbing.

So, yeah, even for remote access, uh, no... forget it.

Chris.

Hi Chris

At this time, I don’t believe NVDA supports Cytrix Main Frame, or the Microsoft remote terminal protocol. So, in a word, no! TeamViewer is not accessible as far as I’m aware from the remote side. In other words, although you could install it on your PC and quite probably connect to it, you’d get no feedback whatsoever.

To the very best of my knowledge, the only screen-readers which support remote access at this time are Jaws and Window-Eyes (version 5 or above). You’re fighting a losing battle with NVDA. Unless, of course, my information is wildly out of date, which I don’t think it is. But, if so, I humbly beg your pardon.

Kind regards

With NVDA, is there a way to remote into someone's pc? Kind a like the equivalent of JAWS Tandom? The other person doesn't have jfw, and they have absolutely no intention whatsoever of installing it either. I can't say that I blame them! We need to look at something on their system together, but I don't feel comfortable having him do this completely on his own, as one wrong move, could spell disaster. I'd like to be able to have him be the one to do it, yes, but let me be able to look over his shoulder, and just make sure he's doing things correctly.
