Hi!
I use the excellent Docuscan+ tool for Serotek for scanning/processing text.
I won't go into why I chose this particular utility at this time but I
will mention an interesting option I found in the Windows version and I
can only assume that the same option is available in the Mac version.
If you don't want Docuscan+ to perform processing or to store your
processed text in the Cloud then you can disable this feature, Docuscan+
will then just scan and process the text on your computer, you can then
save the results to your computer thus.
By default I use Docuscan+ to open/process PDF files now so that way -
whatever the PDF file - I'm certain - to have something read to me <smile>.
