I’m very happy to hear you’re enjoying the Soundlink III Firstly - this is how I read it - it appears there may be some confusion between the Soundlink III and the Soundlink Mini. The Soundlink III is the bigger of the two and has been with us for a few years, I bought one 3 years ago and was very happy with it until I heard something else but that’s another story which I’ve already related. The Soundlink Mini I believe is into the Forth generation now. The Soundlink Mini is a smaller Bluetooth speaker device and from memory I think its smaller slightly than the Jawbone Jambox but don’t hold me to that. I gave my Soundlink Mini away a few months ago and that version was the previous generation I bought at the same time as buying my Soundlink III. Anyway, the new Soundlink Mini I’m told isn’t as powerful and I could well understand that given the newer version runs from a much lower voltage than the older version did, part of what I call the convenience and gimmick type functionality the new Mini offers - hands free speaker phone and Text to Speech - so I sincerely hope the audio quality of the latest Soundlink Mini wasn’t compromised by adding these features or opting to use a lower voltage to power the unit just to impress a few people who like to charge their devices via a USB port. However what’s done is done, Bose have made their decisions, they have there reasons and there the story ends. I’ve seen favourable reviews regarding the audio quality - much of that booming bass associated with Bose has gone in favour of a more pronounced mid-range and top - which may be very welcome news. So back to the Bose Soundlink III itself and why did I rid myself of it? Because I found something that I believed sounded far better and that was the B&W T7. If you listen to the T7 you’ll notice a dramatic change in the sound stage itself, you’ll find it easier to pick separate instruments than you can with the Bose, my experience anyway so you have a T7 I believe? Perhaps when time permits you can do some comparisons between that and the Soundlink III and - to get the maximum enjoyment - play some FLAC files from your Samsung Galaxy phone which supports the lossless aptX transfer the B&W T7 is compatible with.
