Hi Ted Yes, I realise that it isn’t a personal thing and, for whatever it’s worth, I certainly have no axe to grind regarding you, or anybody else, for that matter, on list. We’re all here for the same reason, because we love technology and, most importantly of all, coz we wanna be! Personal chat is just fine, with a technology undertone. ;-)
I’m concerned, however, as to how that message, ostensively from me, came to be on list. There are mechanisms in place regarding list content which are supposed to prevent just that from occurring and, clearly, they failed to do so on this occasion. Therefore, I need to look carefully into the hows, they whys and the wherefores, to try and figure out what happened that caused the supposed safeguards to break, and allowed the not supposed to be to infiltrate the group. Finally, I urge everybody in the group to be vigilant. We live in very dangerous techno-times, and, sadly, there are always those who seek to do their worst to harm those who never hurt them. There are always those who seek to profit from those who never did them any wrong. I am sure that everybody within this group qualify as one of those who never did nobody any harm! ;-) But, in all seriousness, I urge, I even ask, all group members to exercise constant, unswerving vigilance! I.E. some sort of phishing attempt. I have seen this most offen with hacked Facebook accounts. In your case, I'd say it's most likely malware that has infected your PC and is sending emails to your contact list. Hope you get it sorted out ok.
