Okay well according to the article I'm reading right now the HomePod
won't be available until 1 December world wide so that gives you plenty
of time to save for one <smile>.
The price is competitive no doubt about that though I wonder how good it
will actually sound when it arrives? Plenty of time to think about that.
There's no doubt that Apple iPads are still the best tablets going
around, I've not seen anything in the Android world that comes close as
far as build and quality go, I won't say anything about performance as
I'm sure there are some very good performing and fast Android tablets
out there but my questio nstill is, why can't Samsung or anyone else
build a Tablet as well as they build a phone?
So IOS has more features? Well I don't know what I think about that to
be honest.
I'm running the latest IOS on my iPhone 6 and some of the functionality
just bemuses me.
For example take the "Apps Switcher" function, a damn nuisance to get in
and out of in my opinion, press the "Home" key twice? Well that's easy
enough but what then.
Okay, you close each App one by one, no way of closing all Apps with a
gesture or anything like that.
So having searched around and - hopefully - finding all the Apps - and
closed them - you still have to get out of the "App Switcher" to get to
the home scren, no inteligence there to automatically take you out of
the switchers given there are no Apps open.
Then why does the phone automatically wake up and start speaking when
you move it? A pain in rear for sure an iPhone doing that.
Yep, my ignorance I'm sure, I've not kept up with what the iPhone and
IOS has been doing though - from what I've described thus far - I don't
think I'm missing much.

Hello everybody
Well, what a lot of news from Apple’s WWDC. First, the new iOS11. Loads and
loads of new features. Then, the new iPad Pro 10.5 and 13 inch models. Equipped
with the new A11 processor, it’s now up to 13 times faster than the original
iPad.
My most exciting announcement was the new Apple equivalent to Amazon Eco, plus
the most intelligent smart speaker of them all. It’s called the “HomePod” It
has 6 tweeters, and 1 four-inch woofer. 6 Microphones, and intelligent space
calculations to configure the way the speaker sounds. Even the demo on WWDC has
told me that “I want one”! It will be available from next week in the US, UK
and Australia.

My compliments and kindest regards
