Not reading properly again mate, no adapter required at all to expand
the storage to 512GB, just a simple SD card.
I think what you really meant to say was that the "Pie In The Sky"
iPhone 8 may have 512GB of storage built-in.
To each their own and I have no problem with that though as a rule the
more storage you buy on a phone then the more expensive the phone is.
I'm glad Samsung saw the light and went back to the idea of SD Card
expansion slots which they abandoned on the S6.
Having said all that however I used my Samsung Galaxy S6 up until I sold
it very recently and very successfully with 64GB, even with all my Apps
and more than 2500 songs on board I still had 12GB free.
A point to ponder perhaps?
