The quality of the audio from the Mini by far exceeds that of the Echo Dot, and the device is a little smaller.
I have to say I’m very impressed with it. Another thing I like is that the Google Home’s microphone toggle is a switch, rather than a button. Ergo, one can feel the status of the switch at just a touch, thus avoiding accidentally forgetting to switch the microphone back on and wondering why it won’t respond. Would be quite nice with the addition of a a battery, and a line out would have been helpful at times. But not the end of the worlds, since one can Bluetooth® connect to a speaker if desired. ======================================== My compliments and kindest regards Gordon Smith: <[email protected]> Accessibility & Information Technology Support Specialist.. Its my Birthday soon and I was in two minds. I know I need another Google Home but I'm not sure yet as to whether I'll go for the standard Google Home device or the Mini, whatever way I doubt I'll be disappointed. I'm looking forward to seeing - or perhaps that should be hearing - the Google Home Max which should be selling in around 6 weeks from now.
