On my two new Minix machines, I logged into Windows using my Microsoft account and, before I know it, Skype is being installed and there’s no way to remove it. So yes, it’s now an integral part of Windows 10 it would appear. I have been anticipating that move ever since Microsoft acquired the Skype business. It makes sense, I guess, from their perspective to do that. Although I’m not sure it’s a very positive move from the consumer’s point of view.
After all, I know lots of people who use Windows, but have no inclination whatsoever to use Skype. They use Windows 10 Enterprise at work, a lot of them, and as I say, they can neither remove it, nor prevent it from activating when they power up their machines in the morning to begin their daily work. ======================================== My compliments and kindest regards Gordon Smith: <[email protected]> Accessibility & Information Technology Support Specialist..
