We just received a new mailing notice from Sony dated 12/12/2003 that does indicate that the Kernersville, NC facility is indeed closed. They now have 6 facilties listed that include AZ, TX, MN, NC, FL, and Electronicycle, Inc in Gardner, MA. I know I where I will be sending mine from now on.
